AHOY MATEY!

This is our senior couples activity for June. We went on a harbour cruise,on a restored chinese junk. It was a beautiful day, not to hot and not to rainy. The first picture is our senior group and the second picture is of another group that was on a different cruise, they were celebrating someones 60 birthday so came dressed as hippies. You will see one big apartment building about have way through the pictures that have three rows coming out and kind of these blue sections on the front, that is our new apartment building that we move into in July.

A night of fire

We got a call from the Lee's at 5:30 am to get up and take pictures of the fire across the street. We were kind of waking up and could here these thuds outside. When we got up and looked out there was pieces of the fire falling the 30 or so stories to the ground. As you can see in the pictures the fire hoses or water could not spray up to where the fire was. It eventually died some so I don't know if they sprayed from inside or how it died in places. It was interesting to watch as more trucks and fire men arrived and then the media arrived. Then there was a little fire inside and about 5 hours later the rain started and finally put it out.

Hiking up the "Twin Hills"

Sister Perkins said the following when giving me directions to cover the "twins trail", "Go that way and climb a billion stairs and stop before you come the road". She was right on the money. As you can hear I was out of breath. But with every push comes the blessing of the beautiful world Heavenly Father has made for us all. If you look closely in the picture you will see Sister Kel and Perkins climbing up the other hill. Hong Kong has these concrete stair trails all over the hills. Jen asked me couldn't they have used a dirt path? They do in many cases but in most cases these paths are straight up or down. I had new muscles I didn't know I had, calling me names today.
