What happens when it rains In Bangkok?

When the rain comes down it really comes down. We spent the afternoon meeting with Elder and Sister Rempt. They work in the employment center in Bangkok, located right downtown. They took us for lunch to the talest building in the city (88 stories to be exact). It is the 23rd tallest in the world. While eating the monsoon storms came in and within minutes the drains were filled and we were required to take off our shoes and wade to cross the streets.
If you look at the photos of the infrastructure in this city you can see it has a few gaps. Everywhere you go electical wires are at eye level and everyone has their own cord running to and fro. Everyday brings something new!
